Chateau de Monrecour is located in Périgord Noir region, in the heart of the Dordogne Valley. It offers two heated swimming pools, a large south-facing terrace and a gourmet-style restaurant. Great hotel, a little bit of luxury. Breakfast had great variety of cold cuts, cheeses, fruit and eggs and coffee. Rooms were spacious enough, but the best part was the pool! Very pleasant and impressive dinner at the local restaurant. Staff were welcoming and friendly

The host had to be away from the hotel the next day so the meal was not of the same standard, but we would eat in again on a future visit.
